I am passionate about getting more BIPOC and Queer folks into the outdoors! I offer surf lessons, mountain bike lessons, camping trips, tour guide services and group hikes.

A lifelong athlete, I have always been happiest and in my element while being active and outdoors. After a career as a two-sport collegiate athlete, I moved to Switzerland to become a professional volleyball player and discovered a new passion; travel. Thankfully I found a way to work at the intersection of these two passions and spent almost 10 years traveling the world while guiding hiking and cycling tours in some of the most picturesque and exotic locations on earth. Although a dream job, it was during this tenure that I truly began to recognize the lack of diversity in many of the outdoor spaces that I occupied. Nowhere was that more apparent than in the surf lineup.

Fueled by my love of the natural world, and the desire to share that love with other Black, Indigenous and people of color, in 2020 I co-founded Color the Water, a non-profit community for BIPOC to reclaim space in the ocean and fight racism through free surf lessons and media. It was through these lessons that I truly began to see the healing power of water at work. Utilizing my Surf Therapy Certification through the Groundswell Community Project, I have been holding space for underrepresented communities to reclaim their relationship with the ocean and the natural world.

I have seen first hand how both passive and active engagement in nature can support a persons emotional health and well-being, something many of our BIPOC and Queer communities could benefit from. I see nature as my greatest teacher and healer and hope to empower others to tap into this free and unlimited resource.
